On stage

Clinical depth, told plainly.

I don't read slides at people. Sessions run on real case material, honest about what the research doesn't yet cover, and built so that practitioners leave with something they can use in Monday's caseload rather than a feeling of general inspiration.

Delivered in English or Japanese, online or in person, to audiences from twelve to twelve hundred.

Signature workshops

Five sessions I've built from the caseload up.

Each runs 60–120 minutes, with practitioner-facing versions for clinical audiences and organisational versions for teams and leadership.

Workshop 01

The Invisible Load: recognising and treating cultural grief

Your client moved abroad five years ago. Successful, functional — and something is gone they cannot name. A framework for identifying cultural grief, distinguishing it from depression and adjustment disorder, and treating it as its own experience.

For: clinicians, EAP providers, global mobility teams

Workshop 02

Beyond code-switching: what your client can't say in session

Your client is articulate in English. But English is not where their grief lives. On language choice, emotional access, and the load multilingual clients carry into the room.

For: therapists, counsellors, multilingual clinical teams

Workshop 03

When the framework doesn't fit: adapting Western models

CBT, DBT and person-centred therapy carry cultural assumptions invisible until they collide with a client's reality. Not about discarding your training — about knowing where to adapt it in real time.

For: clinical training programmes, universities, supervision groups

Workshop 04

The therapist between worlds: narrative work on cross-cultural identity

Your client carries two stories — who they were at home, and who they've become since. The core tools of Narrative Therapy through a cross-cultural lens, with examples from expat, immigrant and diaspora populations.

For: practitioners working with migrant and diaspora clients

Workshop 05

Building a sustainable cross-border practice

Licensed in one country, practising online, seeing clients in another. Platforms, time zones, regulatory grey areas, and staying booked without burning out. Ten years and five global platforms, told honestly.

For: therapists building international practices, platform provider networks
